About Us
The Ronald L. McDaniel Foundation was established in 1995 by Ronald L. McDaniel, an iconic figure in the railroad and supply community. McDaniel grew up in Richmond, IN and was best known as president of Western-Cullen-Hayes Inc. McDaniel also served as a board member and president of RSSI (Railway Systems Suppliers Inc.) and REMSA (Railway Engineering and Maintenance Supply Association). A colorful, outspoken figure who devoted his career to the rail industry, he was always willing to share an opinion, offer advice, or lend his expertise. McDaniel passed away in June of 2022. His pride and joy was the Foundation and his philanthropy to various local and children’s causes.
